Comics work
I've been obsessed with comics since childhood — I even worked in a comic shop on Saturdays. So when Cardiff-based Arts and Health charity Re-Live asked me to help co-create a comic, I didn't hesitate.
Coming Home
Coming Home is an ongoing anthology comic series sharing true stories of UK military veterans' mental health. In each issue, veteran storytellers work alongside professional comic artists to bring their personal stories to life in a co-created and therapeutic process. I serve as Co-Writer, Art Director, and Co-Editor across both issues.

Issue 1 (2022) features four veterans' stories addressing PTSD, Moral Injury, Military Sexual Trauma, and depression. The cover was painted by legendary comics artist Ian Kennedy — his final work, completed at the age of 89 after a career spanning 60 years and over 1,300 covers for Commando magazine. Issue 1 has been stocked in comic shops across the UK, USA, Ireland, and Australia, and is available digitally on ComiXology. It is used by mental health professionals as a tool to support veterans in opening up about their experiences.
Issue 2 (2025) focuses on LGBTQ+ veterans who served under the Armed Forces' ban on gay personnel, lifted in January 2000. Made in partnership with Fighting With Pride — the LGBTQ+ military veterans charity — the issue features artwork from some of the UK's leading LGBTQ+ and allied comics artists. It premiered at Thought Bubble, the UK's largest comics convention, in November 2024, and has been permanently exhibited at the Imperial War Museum.
